Overview

This 3-day equivalent (2 full days plus 3 online twilights) programme explores the best bets for developing a coherent and diverse curriculum for long-term learning. The programme explores: 

  • The big picture: identifying the core knowledge and structuring it for progression and coherence
  • Zooming in: Lesson activities to secure learning
  • Diversity: a curriculum for all children
  • Making it stick: a curriculum for long-term learning
  • Disciplinary Literacy: explicit teaching of the speaking, reading and writing models for each subject
  • Implementation planning

What’s the purpose of the programme?

This programme ensures that subject leaders understand the supporting theory, evidence and principles of successful curriculum design for long-term learning. They are then able to apply this to their own contexts and develop a plan for impactful implementation.

The programme is aimed at middle and senior leaders in with responsibility for curriculum development.

The programme will launch in Autumn 2 with sessions running through to Summer 2. Exact dates will be confirmed in September. 

Cost
